Apple Keyword Field

Apple’s keyword field is private metadata: it does not appear on the public App Store listing. Apptonomy normally imports it through App Store Connect, but you can enter it manually when your team or client cannot grant console access.

You’ll find it in the project’s Settings → App Context tab, in the Apple Keyword Field card.

The card shows one row for every App Store locale the project audits, with the primary locale first. Enter the same comma-separated keyword string that is live in App Store Connect for each locale, then click Save.

Apple limits the field to 100 characters. The counter below each row uses Apple’s character-counting semantics and prevents saving a value over the limit. Clear a row and save to remove that locale’s manual value.

After saving, the row shows when you supplied the value. The next audit uses it automatically; choose Run Fresh Audit if you want to apply the change immediately.

Open Asset Editor → Store Text → Keywords Field. When App Store Connect is not linked, the Live card shows the manual value for the selected locale and labels it as supplied by you. Use Edit your manual entry to return directly to the settings card.

The draft in the Keywords Field editor is intended for a future store submission. It is separate from the manual live-field assertion used by audits.

Run a fresh audit and review the keyword analysis. The manual value is fed into the same audit and cache-invalidation path as a console-sourced keyword field, so changing it causes the relevant Store Text and Keyword analysis to run again.
