Manage Icon & Screenshots

Your listing’s visuals — the icon and the screenshot sets — live in the Asset Editor alongside your store text. Screenshots come into Apptonomy from Figma and are organized by device size so you can review and publish each set. This page covers what you can do with visuals today.

  • Screenshots are produced in Figma and pulled in with the Apptonomy Bridge Figma plugin. Set that up first — see the Figma plugin overview and exporting from Figma.
  • Switch stores with the store switcher; screenshot sets and their device sizes differ between App Store and Google Play.

Open Asset Editor → Screenshots from the Listing Edit & Publish section of the sidebar. The header reads EDIT: Screenshots, with tabs across the top:

  • Input Text — the on-screen text strings that drive your screenshot overlays.
  • Exports — the rendered screenshot sets, grouped by device size, ready to review and publish.
  • Activity — the log of screenshot publishes for this store.
  • Figma — the connection to your Figma file.

On the Exports tab, choose a language from the selector. Apptonomy lists your screenshots grouped into a section per device size (also called a display type — for example the different iPhone and iPad sizes on the App Store, or phone and tablet sizes on Google Play). Each section shows the screens for that size in order; click any screen to open it full-size.

If a set is empty, you’ll see “No screens yet — Export from Figma using the Apptonomy Bridge plugin to get started.” That means the screens haven’t been brought in from Figma yet.

Screenshots publish separately from store text. From the Exports tab, use the publish button (Publish to Pending Build on the App Store, Publish on Google Play). You choose a scope — the current language only, or all languages — and confirm. See Publish a revision for how publishing and entitlements work.

The Publishing page shows a preview of your app’s current icon alongside the rest of your listing. In-app icon generation and replacement are not yet available — the Asset Editor’s Icon tab currently shows a “coming soon” placeholder, and Apptonomy does not push a new icon to the stores yet. For now, manage your icon directly in App Store Connect or Google Play Console.

For screenshots: after publishing, the Activity tab (and Publishing History) shows a PUBLISH: Screenshots entry with its status. App Store screenshots are published to a pending build — you finalize and release that build in App Store Connect.

Your screens haven’t been imported from Figma. Open the Figma tab to confirm the connection, then export your frames using the Apptonomy Bridge plugin. See exporting from Figma.

That’s expected — in-app icon replacement isn’t available yet. Update the icon in App Store Connect or Google Play Console directly.
